Hello everybody!

My name is Nathan. My wife is Emma and 2 children (Lauren 6 and Ellie 4).
We live in Wimborne Dorset.
We have finally booked our flights!! Hooray!! Its all a bit scary now.
Flights are booked for 3rd July. We will be staying with friends in Baldivis for a few weeks, Then hopefully renting our own place.
We have got a full migration visa but are unsure if we are gonna stay. Looking at least 2 years and see how things go. We are renting our house out in the u.k, so we have always have it to come back to.

Would love to hear from anybody! Any experiences Where to go or what to do. Emma plays Netball to a good standard and is looking for a local team.

I am a skilled Engineer seeking employment so any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Nathan, Emma, Lauren & Ellie

We are Alison, Nigel, Alexandra & Tom. We arrived on a PR visa in January this year. Never had 2nd thoughts about moving but like you watched the house prices go up and up. I'm a nurse and hubby an electronics engineer (we came on my skills so pretty easy process). I live in Leeming which is near Bull Creek and not far from where Bob lives. We've found it's true that salaries aren't as much as in the UK, but we're managing fairly comfortably, we've bought a house and drive a modest car.

The kids have settled in very well (always a relief), and apart from a car crash in feb (which wasn't my fault :lol: ), things have gone pretty smoothly.

We haven't yet become home sick, even though we're both working full time we actually feel more relaxed. The best way I can describe it is that we feel very content and certainly glad we took the opportunity to come here. My only compliant is that I haven't found good gravy granuels yet :D - but I'm a long way off making my own gravy!!).

Netball is really big here and I'm sure Emma will find a club to play for.
