Hi we are applying for a skilled visa , my husband is a painter and decorator and has had his own business for the last year he has not qualifications as such just trained on the job since he was 16 he was working at airbus uk for the last 8 years before he went self employed but was painting and decorating at weekends building up customers when there was enough he went self employed this is where the problem comes because he hasnt done the job for tax purposes except the last year . i work for bank of america but couldnt find anything under my occupation so think we will have to stick with this the other alternative is to try and get a sponsor but dont really no where to start what visa are you going for ? any advice would really help. julie and chad:D

Julie i'm using Thinking Australia, and Darrel & Liz the directors are absolutely fabulous, If you go on to wwwThinkingaustralia.com its got everything you need, theres also a chatroom and forum , everyones usually in the chatroom from about 9ish and sometimes you can get some really usefull advice. But give Darrel a ring he's great

We've got no family there and have never been there before either, we must be nuts. Still try Darrell, heidi's great but Darrell's a king when it comes to migration, Application went off 3 weeks ago so we haven't even had pre-acknowledgement yet, still waiting so we should hear any day now. I'm used to all the waiting, we started all this early Feb. Just keep trying let me know if anyone gets back to you about your cv;s :):)

I work in Finace part time, chose perth because darrel suggested it, how about you?? i think it is full of Brits depending on where you go, Mandurah is ive heard apparently there's lots of Malaysians and indonesians to. Liz our agents said Perth is lovely and they've travelled all over Oz. What areas have you been looking at??
