hello from adelaide

Hello to all perth poms from adelaide.

We have just moved over here 3 weeks ago and so far so good but something is niggling me, my hubby desperatly wanted to move to perth but you know what us women are like, I got my own way and we moved to adelaide. Sometimes i wonder whether I made the right decision and have spoke of this to hubby whom just gives me that husband smirk.
He travelled around Oz several years ago and said that Perth was the place to go but at the time we started the migration progress we did not have enough points to live in Perth so I researched Adelaide, 3 years on and the points were there but I done to much research on adelaide by the.
We are still new to here and got so much to explore but is it true that Perth is the place to be, is there really that much difference, please give me your honest outlook.

Hello & (belated) Welcome :D

We are not in Perth (yet) so I cannot answer your question.

We had initially intended to make the move to Adelaide ourselves on an STNI visa but hubby's job went on the MODL list so we were able to pick where to go and we decided on Perth as hubby has relatives there and so it made more sense than Adelaide.

Having not visited either state (in fact, we've never visited Oz at all!) we cannot say if our decision is right or not be after much research Perth just 'feels' like the right place for us - time alone will tell!

I hope you manage to decide which place is right for you.
