Moving to Fremantle

Hi, Im Andy from Lincolnshire. Im hoping to be moving to Freo early next year and to be working at Fremantle Hospital.

Any helpful hints would be really good! Im looking for a place to live too!

Freo is quite an expensive suburb to live. I live in Leeming which is about 20 mins away from Alma Street - there are quite alot of suburbs surrounding Freo. Have a look on www.aussiemove.com (it give you a list of suburbs and surrounding ones), average house prices and links to schools (if that's important).

I have just accepted a job offer at Fremantle Hospital and hope to be there some time next year.
Friends of mine have just moved out to WA and they say Fremantle is gorgeous, a colleague at work backs this view up too.
I know the area is expensive, however short term room renting might be the answer until you find your bearings. Look at plenty of websites relating to Fremantle and try googling in perth, gum tree for a really informative local Perth community website.
