Hi we are Andy & Sarah and have just registered to this forum, we have just started our application for our visa so we can set up a new life in Oz. Does anyone have any advice on how to seek work sponsorship in the Perth (possibly Rockingham) area?

Hi there , not sure who you would apply to , but I suppose individual buisinesses. Try www.seek.com.au (http://www.seek.com.au) , maybe pick a few jobs and apply. Perth is in need of skilled workers , so good chance of getting sponsorship if you have a trade that is demand. Cya julian

Hi, We came over on a 457 visa by using a agent over here but we was in the uk,When we came here last year for a hol we rang the agent to see what jobs was about in the area and we took it from there if you wanted the number i would be happy to give it to you worth a try.Good luck

Thanks for reply. Where abouts are you based? Please forward the phone number re jobs if you will. At the moment i am perusing hospital websites in and aorund the Perth area and my husband's work is in manufacturing. We will be coming on visa 457 also so any advise would be gratefully received.

Unfortunately I cannot help with seeking sponsorship, but suggest that you could do a search on this site to see if anyone else has asked the same question and received any answers.

We're headed out to Rockingham ourselves this summer, our visas were granted yesterday! :Rofl:

Hi Sarah,We live in tapping about a 45 mins away from where you will be.
The agent we used to get our visa was visa solutions australia you can email them at
info@visasolutions.com.au can only try see if they can help
what sort of manufacturing does your pantner do?
My mother in law said you could try flex, nurse west,J5 these are agents for hospital work age care work all diffrent, i think they will have a web page i will look for the numbers for you if not.hope this help to you.

Thanks for your speedy reply. We have only just started the process so i would imagine we will have a few ups and downs along the way.
Andrew my hubby works in general manufacturing as a Production Manager and i am an Out patient Supervisor at one of our teaching hospitals. If poss could you seek out the website you mentioned and i will check it out.
How long have you been out there and any regrets?

Hi Karen and Co,

Congratulations ! Rockingham is a lovely place we have been out there twice as my cousin lives nearby in Kwinana. How long did your application take and were there any problems at all?

I imagine you will be very busy in the coming months getting prepared but if you think there is anything of interest that may help us in our application please forward on. At the moment I don't feel nervous but that will come along no doubt.
