just a few queries!!

hi everyone, merry christmas!
we've booked our flights to perth on 21st january, can't believe it's nearly here !
i've got a few questions if anyone could help, Can we use our electrical appliances out there (is it different voltage than the u.k)
Were really struggling finding rented accomodation, and as were leaving it a bit late!! not sure weather to stay in a hotel for a couple of weeks or try and find rented from this end.

Hi Lisa
Your electrical appliances will work over here, you'll need to get plugs changed or buy adaptors. You can get them from a store called Dick Smith, about $13 each. Also, if you're bringing TV, dvd, stereo etc.. bring a 4 gang extension lead with you then you'll only need one adaptor.

Have you got accommodation sorted yet? We booked a short term furnished rental from the UK for arrival. We stayed there for 4 weeks whilst looking for something long term, checking out which suburb we wanted to settle in & waiting for our container to arrive.
I would imagine a hotel will be quite costly.
