Hi, just new on to the site.
visa has been applied for awaiting allocation of a case worker. Should we pursue our Police and medicals now? so we have it in place for the case worker?
Also we any advice and guidance on living in Mandurah.
The only problem with front loading is that the visa is granted from the date of your police check or medical whichever is the earliest and not the date they give you the good news of your visa grant. e.g we had our medicals done in May 06 and our visa was granted in the July - we had to make our initial entry (validation) by May 07. Have you an idea of when your co may be allocated? it may be worth trying to anticipate this and having them done just before. The police checks take almost 40 days to come back and only cost £10 so you could get those done whenever, and you haven't wasted alot of money if you think you need to do them again.
I've only been to madurah for the day and it looked very nice. For me personally, it's a bit too far away from the things we want to be near. There's also alot of brits, which some people will like and others don't. The aussies tend to call Mandurah/Rockingham/Secret harbour/Port Kennedy - Little England.
