Hi there, just wondered if any one had been in a similar position or new any thing about the process.I have lived in Perth for 25 years and my mum wants to have the option to move out here. She is separated and I have a sister in Uk .Mum has no other family. Is there any point in going through the long processs as I have a feeling as I have a sister in the UK they wouldn't let her immigrate.Any info would be appreciated

Hi Julian
If you and your sister in the UK are your mother's only 2 children, then your mother is eligible for Parent migration, the same as my own mother. Please see the following links:
http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/parent-outside.htm
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/books3.htm
My mother now has a Contributory Parent visa and is happily settled in Perth. I'm in the UK but my sister lives in Perth.
We did not use an Agent and I have researched the subject of Parent visas exhaustively, so please give me a shout if I can help you in any way at all.
You will find quite a lot more information about Parent migration on www.pomsinoz.com by the way, which is the largest of the forums managed by Tim who also owns Perth poms.
Cheers
Gill
