Hi there,
My family and I are looking to rent property, just outside Perth. We have read reviews for countless areas and its quite overwhelming.
I think the philiosphy is, research it, as best as you can, with regards to schooling and house type etc, then probably just go for it.
Here is a list of requirements:-
Furnished
Max $650 p/w, including utility bills
3/4 bedrooms
2 bathrooms
Pool ( am I pushing it here?)
Max 50km outside Perth (from St Georges Terrace, WA 6000)
Looking for something over the next month or two.
Thank you. Let me know if this list of requirements is insane!

I think you have been very sensible in your research, all I would say is be prepared to look at your life from a different angle, re jobs, lifestyle, (not like your old life in the UK). Hope this helps
Give me a break!

Well the advice I would give would be to think long and hard about whether you would want to travel 100K each day if St Georges Terrace is where you will be working. Thats one heck of a commute each day!:swoon:

Scott, your list is not insane, final price will eventually boil down to the suburb you end up.
Close to the ocean or river costs more, so you would really be struggling to get a furnished home with pool for that price, but you would more inland.
I'd suggest you rent away from the CBD, but close to a train station or bus that takes you to the train. That way you avoid driving in peek-hour and travel in comfort, perhaps reading that great book you always wanted to read...
In a couple of months I will have a brand new, fully furnished home in Spearwood, close to shopping centre, school, bus and the Marina, for rent to the right family. I will be looking at minimum 6m leases.
I am not fishing for rentals, just mentioning in case I can help someone; I actually expect to have to reject many applications.
Please get in touch if I can help.
Keep smiling
Stefano

try www.realholidays.com.au (http://www.realholidays.com.au) they mainly have the fully furnished ones but i think you may have to increase your budget if you want a pool as well.
Try suburbs with a Train Station like Clarkson, Joondalup
