After having meds done on Wednesday, OH made arrangements to see his own doctor for more medical information to be faxed to panel doctor. He was then informed by the doctor that he had to request the info in a letter, which he charged home and did. With said letter, charged back to the surgery to be greeted by a very nice receptionist :biglaugh: informing him that they are very busy, and that as this was NOT of medical importance then it could take up to 28 days for the doctor to write a letter. :arghh::arghh:
I know to them its not important but to me it is, we are willing to pay for them to do it. The way I feel right now I am likely to offer any amount for them to do it NOW.
grrrrrrrrrrrr how bloody annoying..
Can't you say that this visa is needed otherwise your husband won't get a job, and that it is needed to be put in an the application for the job to be considered.
worth a try. x

Annoying is only part of what I am thinking.
I phoned the doctors today, to be told that it all depends on how much other important medical stuff they have.
I then pleaded, without grovelling too much, if only she could have seen me, all to no avail.
I stressed to her HOW urgent this was, but she stayed firm.

Well tell you oh to make an appt as he is ill with stress and the only perscription he wants is a letter and a strong drink. I do feel for you, the whole thing is stressful you dont need this added part.

Oh dear Tigger that is just pants!!!! Its so frustrating when people don't understand how important & urgent something is! Trouble is with people like that, the more you demand the more they stick their neck out! I would do as Bakercrew suggested and make an appt to see the Dr direct you might find they are more helpful than the receptionist.
Hope you had a nice time in London?

That's a good suggestion on the drink and stress, shame that is already happening.

Hi Tigger we had the same problem, we had our meds 16/06 but needed extra info for our daughter, so went to docs with request letter only to be told of at least a week for the letter to get to us and at a cost of £56, i was not a happy person that day, but i insisted that we needed them asap and as i was paying for a private service this should not be the case. We called them for three days running and got the letter on the third call, so please don't feel down just keep at them i'm sure it won't be too long.

Thanks Alison, I think its made me feel a little better but until we actually hear something then I am on tender-hooks .
I was going to phone again on Tuesday and grovel some more :notworthy:. We are now thinking on the down side and thinking plan B, even though we don't have a plan B:nah:.
The cost doesn't really come into it now.
