Hi everyone

We recently moved to Perth 12 weeks ago and are loving every minute of it, we are spending every minute we can outdoors which we were never able to do in Scotland.....I have one question though:

What do you do with kids or where can you go when there is torrential rain????

My daughter is 7 and we found a place yesterday called Wildkidz that was great, but is there anywhere else that you know of?

Many thanks

Hi Elaine
We've been here in Mindarie since Sept and have 3 kids, with ages ranging from 7 to 1. We like AQWA at Hillarys, during the hols we do swimvac every day at Stateswim in Joondalup, Scitech is supposed to be really good. Got visitors here at moment so can't write much more. If you want to meet up in a few weeks time, drop me an email.
Kinds regards

Hi there

Oh thank you so much. I had forgotten about Aqwa and didn't know about the other 2.

Thanks for taking the time and a meet would be lovely.

Take care

Hi, went to scitech a few weeks back-its really good for kids.
Also took a trip to the museum, its free and they have a kids 'discovery' room at the end-and get to make face masks etc.
Even the local libraby i joined this week have kids activites through the week (and once a month they have an evening of reading stories where the kids come in there pyjamas!) i thought was a nice idea!
AQWA is another good one.
Im still on a mission to find more.........!

Hi Elaine,

For indoor stuff near us which is Ocean Reef, there's the arena swimming pool, skate international(roller blading) jungle jims(gymnastics play area) dinosaur Jims (similar to wild kidz) cinemas, dark light (lazer tag game) indoor volleyball (can't remember the name across from dark light, they are all in Joondalup. There's also an ice rink if memory serves me right it's in Craigie.

Don't worry though it doesn't rain the way it does in scotland( I remember it well!!!) so you won't have to do too much indoor stuff.

Lainey
p.s any other questions drop me a line & welcome to perth!

Hi Lainey

Thank you so much for giving me some great ideas for during the wet season. I'm going to let my daughter see this and see what one she would like to try first. We are living in Hocking, so Joodalup is a 10 minute drive at the most!

I'm sure I'll have more questions for you. Once again thans for letting me know.

Look out for Kids in Perth paper - usually in supermakets - free or check on line -
http://www.kidsinperth.com/

There's also a book you can buy all about places to go for kids - perth for kids or kids in Perth or something like that - it has everything. Ask at your book store.
