Hi We arrive in Perth on 11th June and will be staying with friends in the mindarie area for a few weeks whilst we sort out a rental. I am 36 and have 2 children age 10 and 8, boy & girl, not forgetting the hubby as he keeps reminding me the reason I am going is he's a sparky! Would like to meet other families. Welcome anybody who would like to meet up or tell me where to meet new people and I will be there. The kids I am sure will make new friends at school quickly too, but I would like to meet some new friends too. :D

Hi Rebecca

Its a scary thing coming away from familiarity!!!! Let me know when you get over your jet lag & we can meet for coffee or something. I've got a friend coming out around that time aswell so she'll prob want to get out.

Good luck with the move & flights for now

Laura:p

Hi Jo
It's no problem bringing your daughter along. I was in the same position last year with my daughter. I used to just take a bag of toys with me to keep her occupied & some weeks there was other little ones there to play with.
Like Laura said, come along & her daughter can play with yours. Hope to meet you soon.

Laura, all the more reason to get out of the house if the little one driving you up the walls :)
That must of been a good night, still recovering 3 days later. You're worse than me!

Jo,
Have you not been to the Marina yet? If not.... come down Marmion Ave, when you get to Mindarie turn left at the island into Anchorage Drive. Turn left into Ocean Falls Blvd, turn right at the little island at the bottom & the Boat car park is on your left.

hi rebecca, we moved to perth 12 weeks ago and settled in joondalup near mindarie,we are both 40, my hubby is a painter and i am still looking for suitable work, i have 2 children boys aged 9 and 18 and we are finding it difficult to meet people and socialise, so if your interested or anyone else who reads this drop me a line and hopefully meet up for a chin wag and a few tipples.
