:confused:Mikus` it,s 1st time on Forum. Got a question that Someone might help us with. Myself & My Wife, have decided 2 try to make the leap over 2 'OZ' .I currantly work as a bus driver (since 1998) Marta(Polish 'wife') is a practicing Nurse with N.H.S [national Health Service] Almost 5 yrs. My wife M sould be granted an INDEPENDENT MIGRANT visa. That,s if she passes IELTS test & collects up all paper work. As Nurses are on skills list.& AU desire their profession or it does appear this is the case from articles i,m reading ..As for Myself i,m older, (46) that will count against me? .'We' think! it,ll be best to include me on her application.Would this be our best option???? Iv,e got a school friend living in 'P' with his wife & 2 sons. they haven,t Qualified for citizenship quite yet. They migrated March 2008. Is it advisable to mention them in our application????

Mentioning your friends won't enhance your application in anyway.

Your wife could apply for a skilled visa and you would be included on that application (I was the primary applicant for our visa).

Your wife can apply for a skills assessment (needed for the PR application) http://www.anmc.org.au/?event=-1&query=website/International Section or she can first apply for registration http://www.ahpra.gov.au/ and then the modified skills assessment. She will need to have the skills assessment in order to apply for the visa.

Good Luck
