Hi,
we have recently emigrated to Perth and wondered what to do regarding our UK pensions and were recommended a financial advisor. We could not recommend him enough. He is not at all pushy and doesn't mind explaining it over and over again! He deals in all finacial advice from insurance to superannuation. He is based in Kinross.
If you would like his name & number send me a pm.

Hi - Any idea how much he charges? And does he specialise in UK affairs; for example, we need advice on our UK endowment policies. We don't know who to go to.
Thanks!

I'm not sure to be honest regarding him giving advice on endowment policies, but send him an email. Gavin is South African and wrote books on finance, so he certainly knows his stuff. He is dealing with our UK pensions for us so he might be able to help.
We haven't paid him a penny, he gets his share off the banks/superannuation companies. Worth sending an email as i said.
i'll pm you the email
Malcolm.

Hi Irene
I work for a firm of Chartered Accountants in Perth as a UK Taxation and Pension Administrator and have dealt with many migrants’ pension transfers from the UK to Australia. The company are experts in UK and Australian pension, superannuation and tax matters. We can advise you on both UK and Australian pension and tax issues before and after you migrate. If the transfer of your UK pension fund is completed within 6 months of the date on which you became tax resident in Australia, the growth component will be exempt from tax. If you require any further questions then please do not hesitate to contact me. Colette cpieniazek@uhyhn.com.au
