He we moved over 6 months ago and are loving it apart from the friendship thing, that is the one thing we are missing about the UK.

There is my Becky 28 and my partner who is 33. We have a 3 year old boy called Lucas and i have also found out I'm expecting again.

Would love to hear from anyone who fancies meeting up for a drink or whatever.........especially as the mother in law is coming over for 3 months so FREE baby sitting. Can you tell i have not been out since before we left the UK?

Anyway rambling as usual.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi
We are looking at living in Settlers Hills in Baldivis. We will hopefully be there in September 08, just coping with the stress of selling the house, packing for the container and living at my parents in Cornwall until we come out.
We have 2 boys aged 6 and 9 who will go to the local primary.
We will have to meet up if you want 'cause I won't know anyone either!
Cheers
Claire.
ps. congrats on the new 'bump'.

Hi Claire,
good luck with it all. One bit of advise, I know you will be eager to get here, but enjoy the last few months. We came on a 457 visa, so everything happened so fast by time the visa was granted we were here 2 weeks later, so did not get to spend quality time with friends and family before we left and that is our biggest regret, especially now we are expecting another baby.

Settlers hills is a really nice estate. We live on Baldivis central, which is behind the shopping centre. We like it here and Lucas will hopefully be going to school at Tranby on Settlers hills, he is not able to go to Settlers primary due to catchment areas, and we are not really struck with the other school, nothing bad about it, but not heard anything good either. Whereas Both Settlers hills and Tranby are very very good schools, and even a friend of mine who is a teacher NOR recommends them both.

Anyway, I'm rambling as always.

It would be great to catch up when you arrive, we will be the welcoming party :) Do you know anyone here? Do you have any family? Why did you choose Baldivis and settlers hills?
I know i ask too many questions too!

Good luck,

Becky

whereabouts on settlers? if your boys are going to Settlers Primary, most of their classmates will be uk expats and if you join the residents assoc, or P&C (=PTA) it won't take long to meet people, but you have to get out there and join in. nobody knocks at your door quote=clairewilko10;2651]Hi

Hi Pat and Mike,

We are living on Baldivis central. We wished we had moved on to Settlers hills as there is more facilities there, but we did not really know the area at all when we moved it. We like it here even if its still a little quite (as in not many people out and about and kids playing).

Hi Becky,
My name is Jane and i'm 25. We moved over to Perth 7 months ago from Middlesbrough area UK. I have a two year old little girl and live in Settlers Baldivis. My husband is working away at the mo so i'm finding it quite hard been here on my own. We are still finding it really hard to meet people so if you would like to meet up for a coffee sometime just let me know.
