More new chaps on this forum.

I'm Jamie 28 and my girlfriend is Louise 22 both from Derby. We're due in Perth on Nov 3rd after traveling round the rest of oz for a few months first.

We're comming over on working holiday visa's but are hoping to get settled and make the stay more permanent. I'm an electrician (also currently at uni) and lou's an admin assistant.

Got lots of questions so hope we don't become too annoying!

I'm not sure but I don't think a working holiday visa will allow you to "set settled and make the stay more permanent". I'd suggest you do some more research before basing your plans on a false premise.

I'm not a visa specialist so I could be wrong, but I do think you should talk to someone in the know.

You staying shouldn't be a problem providing you can get an approved sponser. My cousin is here at the moment from the UK on a tourist visa, we have seen a migration agent for advice and he can also stay providing he gets a sponser. He doesn't have a condition on his visa that doesn't allow this. some tourist visa's do have a condition on them, just pot luck wether you have this condition or not.
