Hi all, we are a family of four that will hopefully be emigrating to Perth sometime next year (as soon as we get our visa processed). our eldest daughter is in her final year of school here in the UK and would like to go on and do courses in Hairstyling and Beauty, we have looked on the TAFE website and can see that they do courses for beauty, however we cannot find any info on Hairstyling. We would be grateful if anyone could let us know if these courses are available in college or if you have to get a seperate apprenticeship. Also our daughter is very apprehensive about the move as she obviously does not want to leave her friends so any feedback sbout teenage life in Perth would be useful, we have visited prior to our decision to emigrate and she found it quiet however we would like to think that when we move and she makes friends things will be somewhat different.

Thanks in advance for any information

Hi

Your daughter should be able to do a hairdressing course at TAFE leading to an apprenticeship

or alternatively there are some private companies running the same sort of courses

It will be good for her to go to TAFE as that way she will soon find friends & that will help her settle in as quickly as possible. The teenage girls seem to find it a bit of a struggle until they meet other girls their own age but seem to love it once they get a peer group.

Hope all goes well for you
