Can anyone pass on information on Comet Bay College, we are considering moving to the Secret Harbour area.

My family and I are considering moving to Secret Harbour too. We have a 14 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. Did you ever find out any up-to-date information on Comet Bay College?

Sorry I never got any response, my kids are 14 and 11 as well although both are boys. I have plenty of time to find out more, if all goes to plan we will not be moving until July as my oldest sits his O grades next year (his school is doing accelerated learning). Have you heard anything about Comet Bay and the secret harbour area?

We've heard and read mixed reports really. We were over in August and met a girl who had studied there without any problems. She said she thought it was a good school and was working in one of the local estate agents.
I'm in touch with a lady who lives in Secret Harbour and she absolutely loves living there. She has heard mixed reports about Comet Bay College, but has a friend who has a boy at the school and he is doing really well and they are very happy with it. I've heard also that they have a gifted and talented programme.
If I hear anything else, I'll be sure to let you know!

Hi we live in Secret Harbour for the moment, we are building in Lakelands so hopefully on the move in the new year. Comet Bay College does have a mixed reputation, but coming from the families that send their children there, it is a good school and their children are happy. The negative comments tend to come from people who havent sent their children there if that makes sense? There is a new head teacher there and from what I can gather he has turned things around and is doing a grand job. The gifted and talented programme is a good one, but a very small percentage to manage to get into it. I myself will be sending my son to a private school closer to where I will be living if I can get him in that is. Check out the my school website and it gives you the results of the Naplan ( Aussie version of SATS) Good luck to you all.

I moved to Secret Harbour 4 weeks ago and my children started at Comet Bay Primary & Comet Bay College 3 weeks ago.
My son is 13 and was very nervous about starting as he had problems with bullying at his UK school.....he absolutely loves it !!!!

He comes home every day saying how he understands everything so much more that he did in the UK (so they must be teaching him well) and he even said that the wee goes so quickly cos he loves the school !!

Thanks so much for your information....it's a big relief to hear something that's up-to-date.
How are you enjoying Secret Harbour? We were over in August and it looks amazing...very family orientated, but it would be good to get some feedback on that too if you don't mind sparing some more time.

Thanks, I'll also pass on any information I find out. We are flexible on where we move to but Secret Harbour seems nice but the school is the most important thing.
