      Red face Adelaide to Perth

      Hi,

Due to employment opportunities we're thinking of trying Perth for a year. We've been in Adelaide for 6 years and love it but Perth always been in the back of our minds and we think this is the best time to try it. Going to rent our house out here and rent over there.

Has anyone else done this move? How does Perth compare to Adelaide?

Has anyone done the drive from Adelaide to Perth?

      Any recommendations for removalists?

      Thanks

      Jo

Hi Jo and welcome ... can't help as I've not been to Adelaide yet and haven't done the drive. Call in Esperance (heard it's nice), Albany and Margaret River on your way up here.

      Hi Jo

We visited family in Adelaide recently, stayed in the city a couple of nights then out to Meribah (near Loxton) to visit family - loved it over there, but think I love Perth more

The City (Adelaide) seems a lot older and has some wonderful buildings, but i love seeing the perth skyline, and the city 'playing' on the Swan when the weekend comes.

Not done the drive ourselves but have friends who have - the Nullarbour is supposed to be a lot of nothing - null arbour means no trees I'm told, so not a lot to look at. As Ali says call in at Esperence, Albany and Margaret River on the way through - we are going to Esperence and Denmark for the first time next month, but all reports are they are beautiful areas.

      Good luck with the planning

Thanks. We're coming for a quick visit on 16th Feb. Looking at schools, houses, etc.
Like the look of Butler. We've build 3 new houses in Adelaide and like the new house feel. Are there any other areas where building is going on?

      Thanks

      Jo
