Both my kids go to Whitford City Orthodontics, which is very good. Daughter had fixed braces already on and they are just carrying on with her treatment and charge me $150 -$200 per visit. Son has had to have twin blocks which cost $1200 which I can pay monthly.
It does depend where you live though.

Orthodontic treatment are basically used to repair or shift the position of the teeth in the jawbones, it helps to maintain the jig jag system of the teeth and improve the appearance of the teeth.

I thing $6,500 for orthodontic work is a little stiff.. It costs $ 6,300, which includes two visits per month, the seal, wax, gums, etc., as well as an additional treatment is required.

We go to a local orthodontist here in Leeming, cost us $4,000 and total treatment, my daughter had braces in year 7, had a retainer for a couple of years now (she's in year 11) and goes every 6 months. We haven't had to pay any extra then the initial quote. Whilst it appears steep, in the UK she was referred to an orthodontist under the NHS - 12 months later she was still on the waiting list and we were leaving the UK, rang up to tell them and they told me it would have been at least another 6 months. Here, she visited the dentist, they gave me a list of Ortho's - had a consultation/x=ray's 4 weeks later she had 2 teeth out ( to make room for the movement of the teeth) and 2 weeks later she had her braces fitted

Actually - whilst it's spam (advertising US) it's a good topic .... have edited the post and people can still provide useful info.
