      Where to buy?

Need to give our new build a really good clean after the builder.

There is loads of white dust on the tiles and I have tried mopping them with the usual mops but it still does not come off.

Is there anyother type of mop I could use - or is there a mop on the market where you could change the heads/pads when your washing the bathroom versus the living area

      Thanks

Dust in a new-build is often plaster so adding water will just make it stick to the floor. I have always found it best to hoover thoroughly or sweep and only then mop. Sorry we are not in Perth yet so can't help with types of mops available there......

It's just the dust from the grout. Our tiler said we had to get own on our hands and knees and polish with a dry cloth. Of course this worked but it was time consuming and it hurts the knees!

The point being I suppose that when you are contracting for tiling work that you are aware that some tilers offer a fuller service than others. Tiling jobs finish with a clean up. Clearly some tilers here do not do that, or want to do that, and so for anyone else reading this maybe it will help them ask what is included in the tiling job. People can then decide on what they want. I prefer not to get on my hands and knees and clean. Up to everyone to deicde what thety want though.

      Hope that clarifies things.

I guess it does although I am not sure the point of your post as the OP didn't request information on tiling quotations merely on cleaning them. Our tiler cleaned the tiles but some residue was left which he said would take a couple of cleans to completely disappear and some colours of grout are worse than others.

B&Q, Tile and Grout cleaner, several brands available. It it is really bad then a Commerical tile and Grout cleaner will proabbly be needed and that can be be bought direct from any good tiling shop.

Not sure if its good on just tiled areas after the dusting part , but i use white vinegar and borax mixed with water for cleaning my tiles and grout good for stubborn areas :) ive also got my eye on a mop called the h20 cleaner its just steam and has a few add ons for tiles and furniture more of a cleaner than a mop , my normal mop is an Enjo mop which i really love has a duster add on and a wet foor mop addon for my style tiles in my house they are all different i;e wood etc ..
