Secondary school teaching

Hi guys - apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but can anyone offer any info on teaching at secondary schools. I am planning to do my training the year after next before preparing to emigrate and wanted to know if there are any other ex-pat secondary teachers on here?

Any general advice also very welcome

No. You need 45 supervised days in the classroom as part of a PGCE if you haven't completed a BEd. You need to have completed 4 years HE, therefore a 3 year degree+ 1 year PGCE or 3 year BEd + 1 year MEd? For example.

You need all university transcripts and certificates as well to provide as evidence.

I would cover that in my PGCE definitely, just wondered if that experience would be beneficial (looking at the visa application it mentions time in occupation or closely related work)

Thanks for the specifics - good to know exactly what's needed ! :)
