metal machinist

Have received positive assessment from tra. I know early stages yet but does anyone have any advice on job availability for metal machinists[first class] both cnc and manual machines. Any help would be most appreciated.Also how do you find work from the other side of the world!!?

Have a look on Mycareer, I had a quick search for the Perth area and it came back with 5 or 6 1st class machinist / cnc jobs so it seems like there's work out there.

Thanks Cerberus1 and 2hot4u,received letter from migration agent today,requiring me to do more research as why i want to live in WA, jobs market for area,house prices,living costs etc etc. Should've sent it to me sooner then i could've made quicker progress!!

Have you decided on where you want to live yet, Most Poms head North, we moved to clarkson but travelling south each day for work got to much, we now live in Rolystone.

Thanks,I'll check that job site out. Would like to be near Perth i.e Armadale,Gosnells,Karragullen,Kalamunda and Kelmscott areas but this will be dictated by my application being successful and also where i can find work.Not really worried about living where the poms are,i make friends quite easily. Did my c.v look ok or do i need to alter format? Any advice is most welcome,don't want to be a pain in your backside as I'm sure you are quite busy.

Hi Zaramatty, my OH is a Ist class machinist, programmer setter and operator. We are landing in Perth on the 1st of July 2010.

We have our PR and he is free to start work as soon as needed, he has looked at your website and feels that the work is very suitable to his skills and experience.
