Any Construction Professionals that Can Help

Are there any Construction Professionals out there that can help with advice and or contacts to help me get a management position in Perth. I am a joiner to trade with 15 years experience in construction management (with the last 5 at a senior level, contracts manager and construction director) covering the civils and commercial sectors with single project values of $7.5m and multiple projects values up to $15m.

I am available to commence immediatley and I have my permenent residency visa.

Any help would be apprieciated.

Have you tried Leighton , broad, bgc, Doric all have vacancies online you can apply for. Also the paper on a Saturday has loads of jobs google west Australian buy the paper online. It's different to their job website. It's costs bout 6 quid to buy but well worth a look.

Thanks, I've tried Leighton and got the Dear John saying didn't quite meet the requirements although my CV clearly shows I have more experience than they where looking for!! I will try thr others and the online paper thanks.

Problem you have is your not over here. I had the same problem as this took the plunge got here and landed the first job I applied for. In the uk I applied for must be over 50 jobs with no success.

Yeh, I am thinking I may need to take the plunge, I've got a 3 month contract in the Shetland's been thinking I may see this out and then fly for good at the end of April. Just a big worry to head out with nothing to go to, but if needs must.

You will have more luck when you are in WA..Altho the industry has slowed as we have discovered. Don't feel hurt that they think you do not have their requirements, they prob thought you were over qualified! When you think about it.. You prob wouldn't give someone a job from overseas if they called you or emailed.. First thing you'd want to do is see them. Wish you lots of luck!!

I've had a few CV's land on my desk previously from guys from Oz and they got binned, now the shoe is on the other foot, Think I'll be flying out sometime in April. Thanks
