Still not sure what to do for the best i feel if we don't go in Sept we never will, Aimee are you glad you finished your GCSE's first or if you had, had a choice do you think it would of been better to have had years 11 and 12 over in oz. it's always hard to start somewhere new but give it time and i'm sure you will love it. there are so much more oppertunities for you in oz job wise, it's just makeing a new circle of friends, which you will.

i think once it get nearer the time i will get both my kids to get on here my younger girl is always on FB, but my son's not one for that if he's not on his xbox he's out and about. i hope things start getting better for you and you start loving it rather than hateing it, x

We are not in Perth yet but think it might be a good idea to organise a meet up for all the older children who are there. My son will not join the forum but would talk to people if he met them.

      Just an idea !

My eldest is 17 in August but having contacted schools he would be put into year 11 but this is up to the school. He has already sat his standard grades and will sit his Highers in May. We are going to visit schools and are going to look into him not going to school but straight to further education. From what I understand they can do part training/part schooling which is done on a school by school basis (perhaps those already out there can clarify this). I actually think its easier moving with younger children.

We go in 2 weeks so will let you know how we get on.

That's what Chloe's doing. Basically they go down one of 2 roads, university or job (VET) the VET course consists of what we call BTEC courses. English is the only compulsory course and you choose 6 altogether. She hadn't ended up with all the ones she wanted and depending how well you do in these courses determins what grade you get.
Shes doing cookery, photography, sports coaching and child care and the list you can pick from is quite long.
      From tourism to Plumbing really.
She starts Wednesday so I'll let you know how it goes xx

Erm I'm quite glad I got my gcse's done in England, I'm going to do year 12 so I can socialize and get friends out here, and to get a feel forthe Australian way.. My dad told me to come on here about a year ago but I wasnt bothered, but then I decided to join last week to see if isn't good because my dad has made quite a lot of people off here who he keeps in contact with still, you should get your daughter on here, I come on now and again to see what's happening but like your daughter im always on fb
