  1. Hi Love this is a really old thread from 2 years ago, my CV has been changed many times since I did the version for ahpra , will be on the computer tomorrow and will see if I have a copy of what I sent to them , but I'm really not sure I still have the one that pertains to that application any more. Will see what I can do. All the best and good luck. Tanith
  2. Hi Jan i would do the agos 40 which is your AHPRA registration before you come, if you have already done ANMAC they can send everything across electronically to AhPRA . And you will have to have it when you arrive to start work, as you have ANMAC yours shouldn't take to long they ask for the same things. Hope that helps a bit good luck. Tanith
  3. Hi Casz86, will send at the weekend, don't gave a copy on my iPad and won't be on the laptop until then, hope that's ok. X
  4. Sorry Tablet playing up, anyway it gets you started, all the best Tanith
  5. Hi David I opened a bank account from the uk with a well known australian bank ( three letters) and they sent me a prepaid sim, it should have had $10 credit on it but when i actiated it it only had $5, but hey it was free. Only issue is you really need to activate online as mine wouldnt let me activate using the mobile itself,
  6. Hi straighttothepoint, thanks for the response. Will be hoping to not have to spend more than $400-450 a week, will have own transport but husband doesnt drive so will need good transport links. Not sure if i will be travelling at peak times as i have yet to estabish shift patterns, but could probably say i will at times be travelling during peak times. hope this may give you something to work with. Many Thanks in advance. Tx
  7. Sorry if this has come up somewhere else, Im starting a Job in Nedlands and to start with will be staying in Byford, which I know is a huge trek each way. Looking for ideas for nice but reasonably priced areas near-ish to Nedlands, would be happy to travel upto about 30mins each way but not much more. Thanks in advance for any help/ideas Tanith:laugh:
  8. Hi im flying singapore on the 16th sept, i rang to ask about double baggage allowance, but 457 doesnt warrent double baggage, they are giving me an extra 10kg and my husband the same when he flies in november. if your little girl has her own seat she will also have an allowance so you will be able to take extra that way, but you have to get it to and from the airport, so unless you are going with someone who will see you to check in , it may be a struggle with a 3 yr old. I wish you good luck with your move, i got top deck last year when i flew home from a holiday last year and if you can get that its a real bonus. i booked to late:sad:
  9. hi Claire unless you are going for a specialist/management post. you will be a level 1 + whatever your years are. i have been quailifed 9 years so i will be a 1.9. which is top of the scale, without getting a specialist nurse post. and yes you can top up with enhancenents for weekend and nights or oncalls cheers Tanith
  10. Thanks for that info Darren. Im coming over in a month and will need to start looking about the time I start my new job in October so if there is a reasonable amount around without to much competition, that's a weight off for sure. Tanith
  11. Hi from another cornish girl who is heading over to perth in exactly a month, Start date for my job is 7th oct, staying with family for a bit until my OH arrives in november, our cats are rehoming with OH parents so i know that by the time we see them next they will both be barrels on legs, lol. Where are you guys from in cornwall and where are you going in perth. For me im in truro at present and will be starting out in Byford WA. on our big aussie adventure. Good luck Tanith
  12. Edzi am going to pm you with what i sent ahpra for my CV:biggrin:
  13. Thanks for all the advice, got some food for thought there. My parents were talking about buying me an ipad mini as a leaving gift so that we can facetime, they already facetime with my step-sister in sydney so they know how it works, and as most of the family have some sort of "i" product i think i may suggest leaving it until im there and then getting sorted as Alan and Fifi have suggested. I love this forum, thanks guys you are making this all so much easier.
  14. Hi . Im getting an ipad to bring across with me but im confused as to how I can use it if I don't have wifi or broadband where im staying, I know in the uk I can get a my fi to create my own wifi zone, but can I get something similar Oz side, Also is it better to go for a contract phone or PAYG? im a complete numpty when it comes to techy stuff so any advice would be greatly received. Thanks in advance Tanith
