  1. For those interested, PM your numbers and we can add you to the group,
  2. Hi Ray Yes that was me. Did you get the job? With regards to the wind, Perth is officially the 2nd most windy city in the world, it does take a bit of getting use to.
  3. Its always difficult to organise an event, maybe it was the curse of Friday the 13th!! I have created a whatsapp group called Butler Friends. Of course everyone is welcome, PM me your number and I will add you to the group. My next suggestion would be another attempt at a picnic. Now that we have each others numbers it will be easier. My I suggest Saturday the 28th of January at 5pm. This time at Jindalee Beach, I have attached a map. There is a place called Chippy Beach Shack. https://chippysfishcafe.com.au/ There is a small park just outside and a few park benches to sit on. As a dare, I suggest that everyone attending bring an umbrella, fully open, regardless of the weather tho it may be windy, we will probably look quite stupid to the locals but who cares, live a little. I will have a Bunnings Umbrella fully open.
  4. Anyone on whatsapp? Maybe we can create a whatsapp group, PM me your numbers, will create a group. I made a potato and garlic curry with rice, enough for 20 people. We ended up going to Jindalee beach front in the end, its a great place too.
  5. Hi We came, walked around and talked to a few people but no one from Perth Poms here!
  6. Hi Myself and the kids will be at Eden Beach at about 4 30. We will be at the kids playground bit. We are easy to recognise, 5 kids and a mad but very friendly German Shepard dog. I will have a beer in my hand continuously.
  7. Ok Folks, how easy is it for you to get to Eden Beach? Meet up at Eden Beach, say next Friday for about 4pm. That's Friday the 13th. Suggest each family bring a plate of food or snacks, beers and wine at your discretion.
  8. I knew it!!! Pat in the back for me please. 40 years with no problems, then a family friend stayed with us for a few weeks and it all started. There such a pain to get rid of too. Took me a few weeks. They spread so fast too.
  9. They are very cheeky buggers, they will hide around the bed frames especially the wooden frames, check the corners of your mattresses. If you rule bedbugs out then I have no idea what else it could be.
  10. Sounds like bedbugs. You may think your being bitten during the day, however, these crafty bedbugs bite at night, then you notice about 8 hours later during the day and you think you have been bitten during the day. I would defo check for bedbugs as a process of elimination.
  11. YNYIPW You are so fed up of flies using your ear canal as a runway to land. You spend a few moments after each landing dreaming up ways that you will be able to catch that one bloody fly and make it pay!! Those moments soon turn into hours and you are now obsessed with teaching those dam flies a lesson, even thinking about pouring glue into your ears so that you can now trap that dam fly and squish it. Sometimes I wish I could land in a fly’s ears and let them know just how bloody annoying it is. I was mowing the lawn last week, finished, came in, opened a beer. Whilst chilling out I knew my face was covered in grass and crap, cleaned my face and picked my nose, yes, in my nose was wet corpse of a fly which I initially thought was a bogey. I have now the proud owner of the below. Not the mannequin head.
  12. Drove for about 30 miles and took pictures, there was virtually no difference at some stages, however during the stops I certainly saw some of the best beaches in Australia. We took 8 days to come across, some days driving for about 8 hours. Definitely worth it, once in a life time for some, I will try and do it again at some point in the future if am can and spend at least a 6 weeks going over, there is so much that we just had to drive past to make up time. Have loads more pictures but don't want to show so many family pictures over the net, hope you understand.
  13. Sorry for the delay, had no internet access. Drive over went well enough, had really bad weather at some points, will update with pictures as soon as the broadband is connected. Hope your all well. Renting in Butler.
  14. Hi 10 days to make it across, camping along the way with the kids in tow, whole new meaning to "are we there yet?"
