I've got a couple of friends in Perth, not many thou. I'm still torn between Perth and Gold Coast to be honest. Got some Family on the Gold Coast. I've never been to Perth so it's hard to have a feel for it without ever visiting. What about yourself? Not looking forward to the IELTS test. Booking it for 1st Nov. Got my Vetassess practical on 6th Nov too so a lot on. Didn't realise the paper assessment would come back so soon so had to book IELTS sooner than I planned. Don't want to hold up the application, as like yourself need to get it in before Feb!

Longest part for me so far was gathering all the evidence for skills assessment....been self employed for the best part. Yeah hopefully get EOI submitted with plenty of time before my Bday. Need a higher score in my IELTS if it goes past. Always something to stress about with this visa eh! How did you do in your IELTS?

Where did you do your IELTS test? Booking mine for the 1st Nov so gonna get some revision in before then. How long did the day last? What's ur occupation By the way?

There is an app called Tapatalk. You can put other forums on it such as 'Poms in Oz' too. Did they say how long it would take for your results to come thru? What score did u need? Hopefully you've done well enough for your points mate.

Hi scotty. I'm in similar situation to you. I turn 33 in Feb next yr. I can still get the points required but would need a higher score in the IELTS test. I submitted my docs to Vetassess for my skills assessment via my agent. Once they received them, I got the positive result back in just over a week. Wasn't expecting it to be that quick. I now have to do a practical test as I'm an Electrician. Booked on to a practical 3 weeks after getting the ok to progress. All going pretty quick, lot quicker than expected. Not sure Engineers Australia will have similar times for processing. Good luck thou. Ps. How did the IELTS go? Got mine in a couple of weeks.

Mine came back successful after just over a week once Vetassess have received it. You should get confirmation once they do. Was told between 2-6 weeks before I submitted it so was surprised when it came back so early. I'm an Electrician, so onto the practical next which is provisionally booked in for 3 weeks after I received confirmation of the paper docs.
