Hi all, My son is looking to go and do a Bachelors course and is struggling to find any fee help at all. he either needs to be a citizen or on a humanitarian visa or an overseas bridging student !! Has anyone come across any way around this as it seems like there is one hurdle after another in trying to become part of this great country

when i did a police check for my 457 there wasn't anything there and that was 3 years ago !!!. still not sure as to how or why its on there and why it didn't show up on previous check. very confused and worrying.

yes it was all declared previously and no i am not on the run. if it was on there 7 years ago it would have come up then !!!!

Hi all, i am in the process of applying for PR and received back my ACPO check which shows that i have an impending prosecution which is dated nearly 7 years ago. How does this affect my application and do they look further into it by contacting the ACPO. I am already in Oz and have been for over 3 years yet this didnt show up when i did my 457

Looking for some advice. me and my family have lived in Perth for 3 years now and are going for 186 ENS Permanent Residency.Case worker has asked us to do a UK police check for all of us yet we have never left Australia in the 3 years that we have been here. . My sons are 19 and 17 (16 and 14 when we left UK). do they need to do a police check as well as i am a bit confused. Is 16 the age for Police checks ? and as they weren't 16 in the UK do they need one ? Do we need to do one as we haven't been back or left oz in the last 3 years ?? some people have said no we don't but some say just get them.We don't have an issue getting them but at same time don't want to waste the money !!!!!
