very good question. We are just thinking about all options at the moment, it seems like the best option at the moment is staying with family then think about where to stay when my husband retires. Think it will be a case of if we can get a visa then rent, instead of committing to buy.

Hi Ali, thanks for your reply. Yes I know about seeking approval and I also found out that on new builds some developers may have an excemption certificate so its already been approved for you. I would have to ask the developer for a copy if this was the case. Theres so much needed for anything you do in Australia, shame its not like it in the UK.

We are thinking of buying a house or apartment to use purely for when we holiday in Mandurah we wouldn't want to let it out. If anyone has had the experience we would appreciate any info you have regarding costs etc when you buy and once you bought. Was it a good purchase? Look forward to replies.

We are looking into this visa and it says you can stay in Oz 6 or 12 months, we would just like to know when you return to the UK after 12 months how long do you have to wait before you can reapply for another 6 or 12 months? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
