  1. This beautiful home is in the zone of the much sought after Rossmoyne Senior High School. It is a break lease as we have just bought a house nearby - lease runs out in May. Would suit family with teenagers or extended family as has a three-room one-bathroom granny flat as well as three-bedroom two-bathroom main house. Beautiful large pool and gardens. Walk or bus to Bull Creek train station (10 mins on train up to CBD). 15 mins drive to beach and Fremantle. PM for details of who to contact
  2. Hi Abey We have just broken the lease on a beautiful house in Rossmoyne if you are interested as we have just bought a house. Lease runs until May. Beautifully located by the river and close to Bull Creek train station - 10 mins on train to CBD. Let me know if you want more information. I also have a big double room with en suite here in Riverton which I am renting out if you are looking for short term accommodation.
  3. Hi. I am a nutritionist trying to launch my business here but struggling with the marketing side. Can anyone help me design my brochure at a reasonable rate? Not making any money at the moment so can't pay much, but there could be more work in the future when things get off the ground.
  4. We have friends visiting in July and they want to spend a few days heading north - thinking Ningaloo etc. However, they do not drive. Does anyone know how accessible these places are without a car and can you recommend places that would be good to visit as we have not travelled anywhere yet so don't know what it's like. They are thinking of getting an internal flight but don't if they can get around these places once they arrive.
  5. Hi Helen I live in Bull Creek and am arranging a get together with some others from the forum in this area for Thurs 29th for coffee. PM me if you are free to meet then.
  6. Had a wander around central perth yesterday and found a really interesting vintage clothes shop. Clothes are genuinely vintage, some have been upcycled to look more modern but all at very reasonable prices. The shop is Miss Brown vintage, 140 William Street.
  7. Just have to share this bargain buy with everyone and guess what - not from Kmart but from David Jones. We went to the David Jones in town and they were selling really nice frying pans from $29.95 reduced from $89.95. I have tested the pan this morning making crepes and its great and has a lifetime guarantee. They are also selling sets for bargain prices but deal ends on 11th Nov. The make is Raco Brights.
  8. Hi Shelly Sorry you couldn't make our first meeting but not to worry as we are definitely meeting again and I will keep you posted. We have switched to emails now but if you want to PM me your email address I can add you. Hope you are settling in well to perth - it takes time!

    hairdressers

Does anyone know of a mobile hairdresser as all 5 of us in the family are desperate for a cut and hoping to get it done for a reasonable bulk rate!
  10. A group of us in the Bull Creek area are meeting for coffee on Weds morning (31st Oct). If anyone else is interested in joining us please PM me and I will send you the details. Cheers. See you Weds.:smile2:
  11. Hi Francine We moved to Bull Creek because of the schools and because my son needed to be near the river for rowing. My eldest who is 14 goes to Rossmoyne SHS which is amazing and the top state school in WA. My younger two go to Bull Creek which is also very impressive though I think Oberthur is marginally better (they teach mandarin there). However, both very excellent. Also the location is great - right near the river which is beautiful for running, walking, swimming, fishing, bike rides (superlative cycle paths) and also only 15 mins from the beach at Freo. Freo as a city is very interesting with a slightly hippy feel (in a good way) and then the other direction we are only 10 mins from the centre of Perth. The only real downside I am finding is that Bull Creek is very 1980s in architecture and there are a lot of elderly people living here and not many families. In the future we hope to move to Rossmoyne closer to the river - a bit more expensive but beautiful. Hope that helps.
  12. Hi Vixie99 and TheresaScorchio I would be free week after next i.e week starting 29th. Any of those times you mentioned would be good for me. Let me know and if anyone has suggestions of venues that would be good. I haven't tested out any of the coffee shops yet so don't know what's good. I don't mind being the driver.
  13. That's great Vicki. Get in contact once you haved moved and we will arrange a get together. Thanks.
  14. Hi My husband and three children (aged 14, 11 and 10) have just moved to Bull Creek. Is there anyone nearby who might like to do some early morning walks, runs or bike rides with me or if not just a coffee while the kids are at school?
