  1. I'm also interested to know of anyone with any movement on their 187 visa applications. Supposedly they are allocating cases from July and August to case officers. Mine was lodged on 11 September. Coming up on 6 1/2 months and the "service standard processing time" is 6 months. Getting really frustrated I would feel a bit better to know that peoples' 187's are getting processed so I at least know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
  2. Wombat, thank you very much for posting this! What interests me in this article is that it mentions that post 1 July electronically lodged applications (which is the 187 subclass) are currently being allocated for applications received in July / August 2012. This is great news! It is nice to FINALLY have an idea of approximately where they are! It is interesting that they say that applications are still within processing time service standards though, as I'm sure a lot of us are outside the service standard processing times! The 187 has a 6-month processing time and my 6-month point was on 11 March! But hey... if the post 1 July applications are up to July/August then I can't see mine taking too much longer as mine was lodged on 11 September! So despite the fact that they are still hammering away at all the backlogged applications, I'm pretty sure that they have many case officer's designated to pre 1 July applications and others designated to post 1 July applications. This gives me some shred of hope that mine will get allocated to a CO before tooooo much longer lol
  3. Maybe you're better off without it! Every time I turn around I'm logging in and checking mine only to be disappointed that nothing has changed ... I swear I'm about to go mental over it! LOL
  4. I am all too familiar with that webpage... I'm only checking it about a hundred times a day to see if there's any change to my application lol My nomination and visa still just show "Application received" and quite frankly I'm reeeeeeally starting to get annoyed! 11 days out from 6 months since it was lodged. And 6 months is the processing timeframe for the 187 visa. Sure wish there was some activity with my application.........
  5. Hi Nee, you can check the status of your application via the following link. I'm not sure if this only works for the new eVisas or if it will work for the previous paper lodged applications, but give it a go. You will need your TRN number and password. https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/elp/app?login
  6. I'm actually quite surprised that Canberra's visa has been granted so soon! I've been following a few forums and this is the first 187 visa I've seen that's been granted so far out from when the 187 subclass was introduced on 1 July. I've seen a few peoples' 187 visa get granted, but theirs were lodged in July... Canberra's was lodged in October! Perhaps it really was a lucky dip because I didn't think the case officers were that far ahead. Especially for a non-decision ready application! I'm very envious! Mine was lodged on 11/9/12 but at the Melbourne PSE center... still waiting for a CO!
  7. First of all, congratulations canberra! That's awesome news! I can't believe how quickly your visa was granted! May I ask what your occupation is? Did you use a migration agent? If so, was the application submitted decision ready? And what processing centre did you have? Cheers
  8. Hi berik.yoem, Cheers for sharing your timeline and information! It makes me feel a little more at ease knowing that I'm not the only person out there with "missing documents". I have also been told that if they have been uploaded previously that there is nothing to worry about and they will have them. I think it's just a glitch with their system since they updated it, which is why they're not visible. But anyway, once a case officer is assigned, they will contact our migration agents if any documents are missing. My application has basically consumed my life at this stage! The waiting is killing me. It's soooo frustrating to be patient and not hear anything about the status of the application! I've just past the 5-month mark since my nomination and visa were lodged together... fingers crossed our applications are processed and granted soon!
  9. Hi Guys, Here is my timeline... FYI - I'm also not a Pom nor do I live in Perth, but thought I would share my info! I'm from Canada and I live in Adelaide. Nomination lodged with DIAC - 11 September 2012 RSMS (187) Direct Entry Non Decision Ready visa application lodged with DIAC - 11 September 2012 Acknowledgement of valid nomination received - 12 September 2012 Acknowledgement of valid visa application received - 12 September 2012 Bridging visa granted - 12 September 2012 Nomination lodged with RCB - 10 October 2012 Nomination approved by RCB - 13 November 2012 My migration agent has provided me with the TRN numbers and passwords for the eVisa site so I can monitor the status of my application. For the nomination, a number of relevant documents and the RCB advice was uploaded and attached. When I logged in to view the nomination, I could see all of the attachments. However, back in mid-December all of the attachments disappeared. I couldn't think of any reason why they would just disappear. I had my employer contact DIAC and they were informed that if the documents were attached, then there is no need to worry... So I could only assume perhaps they have an internal file and the attachments are there? I am curious ... has this happened to anyone else? When you log into the eVisa site, are your documents/attachments missing?? BTW - the status of my nomination and visa application is still just 'Application received" It is nice to see that Stelol1's 187 visa has been approved, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. But just so frustrating when you have to be patient for so long and not hear anything! I was just having a look at the Skilled Migration Visa Processing Times website here: http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charter.../visas/8.0.htm And according to this site, RSMS visas are under Priority Group 1 and the processing time for SkillSelect (subclass 187) is 6 months. So my application was lodged on 11 September meaning my visa might be approved in just over 1 month from now! So that is exciting ... fingers crossed I'm interested to hear everyone else's story / updates! Cheers guys and I will keep my fingers crossed for each and every one of you that your visas get processed quickly!
