      Engineering Skills Assessment

HiI am just about to start (tonight) putting together the paperwork for my skills assessment so that I can apply for a skilled migrant visa. The assessment is through Engineers Australia and is for Engineering Technologist.I am an Incorporated Engineer in the UK but this won't transfer via the Sydney Accord due to it being competence based rather that Batchellor Degree based and I have to complete a Competency Demonstration Report, much as I did for IEng.I was wondering if anyone had already been through this process and could advise me of anything to look out for, and give any advice? Any help much appreciated.ThanksFT

      FT

I was in the same boat as yourself, I held IEng but only had a HND (completed in the Army).

In the end I found it easier to apply for skilled migration as a HD Diesel Fitter, although it might have been more expensive...

Let me know if you need any further info... If you goggle CDR there are lots of examples floating about.
