Where's the best mortgage rate to be had?

Thinking of buying a house this week, and finding the lack of detailed comparison sites frustrating. A lot quote this supposed leveller they call comparison rate, but on further inspection it's a simple measure quoted on a given value loan to include fees over a given period - and clearly not indicative if your loan doesn't fall on those (150k/25 years/capital and interest mostly it would seem).

Has anyone seen an independent, up-to-date, detailed roundup of available mortgage products on the web?

      Cheers,
      Alex

after much searching I came up with a tracker mortgage (as far as I can see the first of it's kind in AU) with an outfit fronting firstmac called loans.com.au which seems to be quite attractive at a current 6.29 variable. emoney and myrate both also have reasonable attractive variable rates, of the high street crowd the NAB appear to have the best offer today.
