      Why don't we feel stressed????

Ok its the last night in the house my wife & I have spent well over 9 years in, we're going to sleep in a airbed and have sold everything that didn't get shipped. We've got a small measure of Jameson's to finish the night with & then nothing else but tap water!!

How come we don't feel stressed, upset etc - all we feel is ready to go & despite having 10days with family up Newcastle way we really just want to be on that plane.

I've seen loads of posts about people stressing about going so thought I'd see if anyone else has / does feel like us?

Question for all those over there - did you feel like this??

      Carole,

You leave before us, we fly outta Manchester on the 17th but going up to Newcastle first to see the family. To be honest we just want to go now.

Safe flight over and maybe we'll see each other at a PP meet up in the near future.

Was not stressed at all, and not even upset, so wondered if I were weird, I think you have the right attitude and if it helps we have found it really easy to settle and sort ourselves out. I am sure you will too, try and see all differences and just that differences and Im sure you will remain calm Good luck and enjoy xxx

Sounds good & thanks - sat in hotel room up in Newcastle (where we are both originally from) about to have our leaving party tonight.

We're staying in baldivis (which I see you are currently located in so whats it like???) but our long term rental will probably be NOR due to my job.

Hows life n the weather etc over there? we're flying on the 17th of Jan & cannot wait if we're honest...

whereabouts in baldivis? we came here and decided it would be a base till we found out where we wanted to live....still he over 6yrs later, and no intention of moving. having a wierd summer...cloud, humidity.......last year we had rain on 3 days in 90 days. still high 20's low to mid 30's despite being weird....you've prob done the reccy that we're 10 mins to the ocean, 5 mins ( all driving of course !) to station a few mins to the shops and the freeway. still has a semirural feel to the place...but hardly see any dead roos on the roadside any more. kookaburras noisy in the evenings for half an hour. plenty of parrots and cockies and cicadas to let you know you're in australia !!

Street is Cossack Street, dunno if there's an 'estate' ref as there would be here - sounds promising if you've stayed though. We're going to have to move north at some point (unless travel's not as bad as we've heard) as J's job is up by Joondalup so may be looking up that way. Then again if Baldivis is as nice as it seems he may just have to put up with the drive ;-) certainly seems well enough placed for facilities.
love the idea of the 'burra's and the rest of the birds; we've two cats who we reckon will just move in by the nearest window and stay there.

Really looking forward to getting out there; it's our 'leaving party' tonight then we've just over a week to take all scenic (cough cough) photos and say more personal farewells. Might have to look you guys up when we get out though.
