We stayed with friends in Madeley. Looked at lots of areas. Haven't heard of any listed above except Carramar. Golf course looked lovely! We actually drove up the coast to Alkimos which will be a new suberb beachfront. Did a lot of driving around. I guess it depends if you want to live english inhabited or more Australian inhabited.
Hi we live in Huntingdale, a quiet cul-de-sac with fantastic neighbours, $100,000+ cheaper priced house than Canning vale, just 5 mins drive from Canning Vale)
when we first arrived in Perth two and a half years ago we spent 1 month in Roleystone Hills (very nice place but a little isolated) we then moved on to rented accommodation to Ranford Estate in Canning vale for 6 months (really nice place and wanted to buy but priced a way above our budget)
Huntingdale is very competitive to other area's and well worth a look in. and only a stones throw away from Jandakot too.
If you guys fancy a meet up for a drink or two and a chat when you arrive let us know as even though we have been here for two and a half years eager to make good friends from our old UK roots.
Take care and hope everything works out fine for you x
Regards Gill (wolfy)
[QUOTE=sweetpea 1;26865]Hi Guys,
Visas permitting, we are starting work in March, based in Jandakot. we are looking at surrounding suburbs and would welcome any reccomendations on family friendly suburbs (SOR) with decent primary schools (kids aged 11 & 7) & within 20 mins travel time or less to Jandakot. (on the assumption 20 mins outside may mean cheaper rental?????)
We live in Harrisdale, its a new suburb it has schools shops and the biggest bunnings I have ever seen![]()
