JaseandAnne Posted June 8, 2016 Report Share Posted June 8, 2016 I'd like to recommend the place we stayed when we arrived, The Baldivis Farm Stay is a two bedroom unit at the back of a 2 acre plot and I can only describe it as a sanctuary from the rushing around you do when you first arrive. Its 10 mins from Baldivis Center and literally less than 5 mins from the Kwinana Freeway so easy access to the city. The farmstay is modern and has everything you need, all kitchen stuff, washing machine and a BBQ on the veranda and its clean and tidy. Michelle and Paul who own it are lovely people only too happy to help, they live in a house at the front of the land, you cant see their house from the Farm stay so you really get that feeling of seclusion and peace. Its absolutely fabulous to sit on the veranda in the evening when the kids have gone to bed with a nice cold Beer looking up at the uninterrupted stars!! Theres no WIFI but there is very good 4G Vodafone coverage so we bought one of those Pocket Wifi things for $50 and you can connect all your devices to it and surf the net for research, we actually still use it now, it takes ages to use the data!! We felt safe there which is a big thing when you first arrive and you are all unsettled and everything is unfamiliar. They have some farm animals, "splash" a Shetland Pony, some sheep, chickens and ducks that roam where they like and a little play area. The place was totally safe to let your kids run about without fear of them getting on to the road. The owners have two children 7 and 11 who were happy to play with our littlen and before we knew shes either playing Xbox at their house or driving round the land on a little petrol car (very slow) or shes was in helping with the animals. Great experience and a great start to our Aussie adventure. Hi Rossmoyne yes I did feedback on Airbnb. They get a lot of people come down from NOR and city for an overnight so maybe give it a try.
