Landlord Insurance

Hi - just in the process of renting out my house and was wondering if anyone who is renting out their own property here in UK can recommend landlord insurance company - assuming there are ones I need to avoid...

we are getting quotes from the companies out letting agency have recommended but if you get any good ones pls let us know :-)

dont bother, it isnt worth the paper its written on, just save 4 months morgage as that is all it is. the insurance will run on forever but soon as you saved that then your home safe. to get someone out will cost about £1400 in court costs too. If you do have to get someone out its all tax deductable

We are renting out our home and use a company called Let's Landlords, which is for building contents and accidental damage. Currently looking at comprehensive cover against loss of rent against out main home (we have several other rental properties) - yet to get a quote. We tend to use a Property Letting Agent for our properties. If they do their job correctly, they should find you suitable tenants (we have the last say also) to rent out your home. We've just put ours on the rental market so hoping that we can get someone suitable soon. 29 days and counting until we fly out!

Im in the process of renting mine out (3 bed detached with garage) and my current ins is with Swinton @ £27 per month for building and contents ive just had a quote to change it to landlord ins with them and its £33 per month x

Most landlords insurance has buildings cover, unless you have separate buildings cover you need insurance or your house is not safe!
