      UK/ IRE/AUS mortgages ???

      Hi ,
I do apologise in advance if this has been askied previously ...I have looked but can't find...

When applying for an Aus mgt ,
      1. If you have a mgt in Ire / UK do they ask about it ? if so should you bring proof of this ?
      2. If your house is in neg equity back home and you choose to rent while your in Aus does this go against you.?
      3. Or are you starting again with this process therfore it makes no difference to Aus what you have left behind ?

Thanks any insight would be great.

I had similar questions about this. When I applied for a credit card they asked for out goings etc. We have to top a little every month to cover the difference between the rent we get and the mortgage.
I asked what my credit rating would be and they said I would have no credit rating, which was fair enough, them's the rules. My thought was that if they refuse to take account of previous good credit ratings they couldn't take account of debts in countries either. When I put this to the bank man he agreed so I just didn't declare it.
It's probably worth having an informal conversation though just to be sure.
