Red face Darlington area opinions please

Hi, we are in the visa process and have started looking for places we might like to live. We would really appreciate opinions about what it's like in the Darlington area or if any one has any reccomendations of places to live in the country, not too far from city, maybe elevated so there is potential of views of the city in the distance and good for young children / socialising. Thank you.

lovely out that way , also look at Kalamunda and lesmurdie lots of good things to do up there and schools shops etc still in the hills fantastic views !http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darling...tern_Australia

We used to live in the hills Kalamunda , great place but not near the sea and we wanted to be nearer ... its stunning Mundaring is a bit like a wild west american town i think so pretty , we actually looked at living in Glen forrest at one point , you have Midland not far away with every shop you can need and midland gate shopping center , i think if you want an actual rural village feel with everything you need Kalamunda is the best area and well worth a look .. but thats personal choices.. good luck with it all !

Thank you both for your replies it's nice to hear opinions from people who have lived/live there as there is only so much you can learn from the internet.

Since putting the post up we have booked a flight for hubby to come out to Perth to do a reccie trip in May for 2 weeks and the Kalamunda / Lesmurdie area are now on his list of places to visit. He would very much like to meet up with fellow trades whilst he is there to chat about the work situation in the area so if you know of any reputable property renovators or hardwood flooring specialists that we could contact we'd really appreciate the information.

      Thank you xxxx
