We live in Baldivis. We really like it here. Hubby works in Henderson and it takes him 20-25mins to get into work and its an easy drive. We are 30mins from the City and about 20 from Mandarah. Baldivis is deffo worth considering. If you want any further info just PM.

I agree with the other posters , do whats right for you and yours look around and get a feel for places you can tell a great deal ask estate agents etc .. were not all the same and don't live and like the same , for every area in the south there are similar up north .. Yes , there are area's that are not quite some people's cup of tea .. but there is that saying ... * MY LIFES NOT YOUR LIFE *

No offence piccolo ... just a bit of amusement that people take the NOR SOR divide a bit too seriously sometimes. Finding a suburb is a bit like a woman looking for a wedding dress ... when you find the one you'll know it

Hi Piccolo - I am from Dublin aswell and have been living in Canberra nearly a year but soon to be Perth. I dont know if you are in Oz yet but the "bogans" we get in Ireland are a little different. What I mean is that you will get a mixture of all different types of people in suburbs mainly. You'll know when you go to a suburb from the outside of a house what the general feel for the place is. Also go to houses you want to rent at different times of day to see what the general carry on is like. Take a look at this website and it will give you a general indication of house prices etc and suburbs http://www.aussiemove.com - seriously wait til you get there and dont rule anything out as yet. Im a Dub from the southside and would never live Northside - purely because everyone I knew swas on the southside. I think the North V South rule applies all over the world - each side always thinks it lives on the best side :)Suzanne

Hi Suzanne, thanks for that, I've been on aussiemove, it's a great site. I'm still in Dublin and am also a southsider (although originally from Cork ) as all my OH's friends and family are here. I lived in Oz before for the year working holiday so I know it's a different type of "bogan" alright!! Good idea on driving through at different times of day. Another tip I got was to just walk into the local supermarket and you'll get a real feel for the kind of people that live in the area etc..
