Hi Shirleyt We packed are container Friday Did it ourselves stress is not the word we also did it in four hours .. They only give you 3 hours to pack anything over is £50 for every hour you go over. The driver came early and just let us get on with it(slipped him a tenner) We fly out 11 Sept I only get 2 days of relaxing before the madness start lol only because we land on Friday (start new job Monday)happy days

[h=4]Fee introduction delayed until 2015[/h]But state premier Colin Barnett has since announced on 17th September 2013 that the fees will not now be introduced until 2015. He also said that the $4,000 fee will only be paid for the first child of any one 457 worker. Each subsequent child would attract a fee of only $2,000. This will mean that the fees will now raise only half the $120m originally expected to be raised.Mr Barnett said that this was fair because 'this means that anyone who is already living here on a 457 visa or who has already lodged a visa application to come here soon will not have to pay unexpected fees for schooling next year. We are giving plenty of notice that the fees will apply from the year after next giving people time to make the necessary arrangements to pay the fees'. But A Western Australian chamber of commerce has warned that the fees will still discourage much needed international workers from staying in the state. Australian broadcaster ABC reports Russ Clark, The Chief Executive Officer of the Albany Chambers of Commerce and Industry as saying 'The feedback the chamber has received is that people are looking at shifting out of WA and/or returning back overseas because it [staying and paying the fees] becomes unviable for them'.

Hi ben. Its all a bit new to me this!!Last year had a mate I worked with. He went to Oz got a job as a flying mechanic with a big company who deals with camper vans he's only 24 so got in Oz pretty easy . I'm bit different as I have 3 kids and a wife cut long story short we sold up ie house car bikes and are pretty much living out of boxes we bought a smaller house for cash which I will rent out when in Oz(help with rent over there) the time scale is only what my agent and his agent have told me I'm a mechanic and will be based in Perth They do say its pretty hard going working on a 457 visa with a family and thanks for the congrats

Hi Benday!! yes we lodged our visa at the same time as the employee(two weeks ago)..The employee's agent email me this morning told us it could take anything up to 1-3 months sometimes even longer and are agent said once we have the go it takes between 1-6 weeks on this side We thought we would be there mid September.

When you say (asked for our details but not much information)They asked for everything ie driving license,birth certificate(wife and kids as well)cv,divorce certificate,marriage certificate,qualifications it has taken us since May 2014
