  1. There is a no contract option. But there is $100 activation fee.
  2. I've been here 3 years and have been with exetel. Never had a problem with them. https://www.exetel.com.au/broadband/adsl $55 a month. I get an 8mb connection. unlimited data
  3. Agree with all the above! Excellent agents.
  4. I work within a sales department that deal with most of the industries in WA. The mining has dropped massively for us, projects being put on hold, or even cancelled. However, the contractors that were working on the mines have had to adjust and have now moved into other projects, like civil and electrical projects. It is getting quite competitive out there, where I have heard that some contractors are winning projects on a loss to keep the steady work going while they try to ride this storm. There is loads of work out there for people, however, there is going to be a lot of competition.
  5. We live in Mullaloo which is north of the river! I love it here, the wife has some days when she misses home. Try to get involved in local activities, it helps you meet people. I've joined the local surf club and start helping with Patrols from next week on. The positive thing for you is that one of you has a job. it took me 6 weeks to find one and It took the wife 6 months.
  6. I know how you feel, we came last January! You have crazy few months ahead of you! Your from Ebbw vale! there's no Home bargains or tesco's over here! lol (we're from Beaufort).
  7. I would check with the company you are using about how to write you inventory. We had to write down everything i.e 10x women's t shirts 3 children's dresses, we took a lot of toys with us so for things like that we put 10 barbie dolls and approx 100 accessories. Since moving here though I have met people who didn't have such precise inventory's and had no trouble at all. I always thought it was best to be safe than sorry. The most important thing is to declare anything you are unsure of including new and wooden items. Some people have mentioned the sizes of the move cube we only took a small cube and you would be surprised how much can fit in there if you pack clever. I used soft toys pants socks tshirts anything as protective wrap to utilise the space. I also made sure my boxes fitted in a uniform manner as not loose any space.
  8. Hi this scoobypatchs wife. We moved to perth 7 months ago and used severn seas small move cube.We were lucky and had no problems with customs. I packed various clothes and bedding using vac pacs although I didn't use any silicone sachets because I wasn't sure if customs allowed it. Everything inside the vac pack needs to be written on your inventory. I put some in boxes and used some as fillers for small gaps. You can pretty much send any item packed in anyway so long as it has your customer number and item reference number (for the inventory) on it. We found it really helpful to measure and tape out the size of the cube on our spare room floor. We packed boxes and worked out the best fit before the cube arrived so we knew exactly how to pack it on the day and that everything would fit. Hope this helps louise
