abbs
Hi, Any blokes in the Riverton/Willetton or surrounding areas fancy meeting up at the High Road Tavern (which is on High Road!!!!) for a beer or two one weekend? I have been in Perth a few years with my wife (41) having moved from Bristol. I am 45 and I have two kids (4 and 6) and find myself in the enviable position of having a pub at the bottom of my road. I am looking to expand my local social circle of friends as recently a few of my mates have buggered off to live NOR or interstate. If you find yourself in a similar position please let me know. Cheers Andy
KazG
Oh to have a decent pub nearby, I hope you get a good response. My OH and I are also from Bristol and are staying in Freo for 2 weeks so its a bit far for us.

KazG
We happened to be in the area this evening so popped in for a beer and bar snacks. The food was great and enjoyed the early evening atmosphere. glad we had the chance to visit before moving back NOR.

dascollins
Hi Andy On behalf of my hubby I'd like to nominate that he 'forces' himself to go and drink beer with you! We're from Swindon originally, but have lived in Perth for 5 years now. Roughly the same ages as you guys, with a son aged 7 I reckon you guys could find something to talk about???? We live in Beeliar, but know the Willetton area well as we lived in Leeming when we first arrived. Let me know? Sarah
Tree
Hi Andy I haven't asked him but I am also nominating my OH to go for a beer with you. We live in Willetton and are walking (20 mins) distance from the HR. Let me know next time you're meeting up and I'll send him out! Is there a "Mrs Andy" if yes - can I come too if we promise to sit at another table and not get in the way of the "man talk"! Sarah - would you be up for this too? Tree PS - we are 37 (me), 42 (him), no kids and from Southampton. We've been in Oz for 5 months and Willetton for 6 weeks.

abbs
Ah yes! Just as long as they don't get in the way of our 'women's talk'!!! Dear All, I'll put it out there for next Friday evening lets say 7.30pm in the High Road Beer Garden (weather permitting!!!) Mrs Andy won't be attending unfortunately due to child minding commitments Let me know if you can make it. Look forward to meeting some new faces. Cheers Andy
Tree
Hi Andy Count us in. If Sarah (see other posts), or any other ladies can't come, can I crash the "boys" table? It would be a bit of a pants night out if I had to sit at a table on my own. Especially if I strike up a conversation with myself - - I'll NEVER make any friends! We're still exploring ourselves but a cool thing we found this weekend was the Saturday famers market on the grounds of the Dumbartong Aboriginal Corporation in Waterford. Its about a 10 min drive from us in Willetton so probably 15 max from Ferndale. Give us a shout once you're settled and we'll sort a meet up somewhere. Happy moving, Tree

Tree
Hi Andy Just checking to see if we're still meeting up tonight - hope so. The only distinguishing feature I can think of to ID us is that Dom has long hair (just past shoulder length) which will probably be tied back. Looking forward to meeting you (and hopefully some others?) at 7.30 in the beer garden. Cheers, Tree
