Any fifo mums or any newbies sor looking for new friends ?

Hi all just wondering if anyone fancys meeting new friends, i have been here since the end september and i am now in secret harbour and love it here.
i am available to meet up mid mornings and afternoons, I have 2 children 14 and 8, I am 36(very nearly37) hubby is 39 We have come over from North Wales. My eldest and hubby have joined the slc and love it.

It would be nice to start making some friends as now we are starting to settle and things arnt so manic, I love getting out and about and miss my friends at home like mad as i am sure we all do, i am very easy going love a glass of wine or coffe,bbqs and chat, and chilling at the beach (when not so hot!!) it would be nice to hear your stories and experiances so far.

Hi Happy new year! We've moved over in September also but we are living north in Osborne Park. We are originally from Northern Ireland i'm 37 and my partner is 35. Setteling in well so far but finding it hard to meet new people. I work full time Monday to Friday but catch ya for a coffee or drink some weekend.

I live in Secret Harbour too and would be keen to meet up sometime. Im 27 and pregnant with my first and have only been in Secret Harbour for a few months. Im free most days so you can let me know if you fancy getting together sometime.

Hiya, new to this website and just getting my head around how it all works. We came over from Shropshire at the end of October last year, were in short-term rental in South Perth for a few weeks and have now been in Secret Harbour for a month. We have two children (well one is 17 now, so possibly not classed as a child!), Sophie and a 13 year old Matt, unfortunately we were not able to get them started at school/college before the holidays started so we are struggling to get them to meet others of a similar age. Matt's been on a 3 day surfing course which he really enjoyed and he has got 1 friend here he knew from the UK. We've spent a bit of time socialising with a colleague of my husband's over the Christmas period but always good to meet up with new people who have gone through the same experience. At the moment I'm available most days until I find a job to coincide with the kids going to school!

Hi we are a fifo family too, I'm on the north side but would be happy to meet somewhere in the middle. I'm 35 i have a 14 yr old, and really need to get myself some friends.

I have only just heard of this fifo family thingy and i think we are going to be one.......Im are right in thinking your families whose hubbies work in the mines? we are due to move anytime soon once our visas come through, hubby is being sponsored by DOWNER EDI (anyone know it). People have been telling me about Baldivis and Secret Harbour are these places close to each, so we are thinking of moving to hear, would be great to get to know some peeps in similar situation, not having any friends is my worst nightmare. I am 28 and have 2 lil ones, girl 2 and a half and a boy just turned 1. Jo

Hi all so sorry i have been flat out with work and not been on this site i sincerly apologise so sorry i would love to meet up asap it has been all work and no play :(( i know there is a meeting on the 4th of febuary at woodman point be nice to see you all there it is from 10 am i will double check but none of us have met yet so it will be a mass meeting how cool is that kids hubbies and us ladies there is a facebook site for the ladies called the perth pommie princesses lovely bunch of ladies on there.

Hi Jo, we are not one of the FIFO families but my hubby does work for Downer Edi, more on the road construction side of things, they seem to be a pretty big company over here and have been fine up to now, but still early days for us, only been here since the end of October.
Baldivis and Secret Harbour are pretty close to each other, but I'd say whilst your two are only little you may prefer Secret Harbour with the beach being here. We've met some lovely people using this forum and also Perth Pommy Princesses and use the golf club regularly on a Friday night as it's family night and the food is good there.

When are you due to come over, have you got a date yet?
