Golf anyone?

Hello all, been here 6 weeks now and as a golf addict I need some midweek golf if anybody is available and fancies ruining a few courses.
Based in Duncraig NOR but will travel. I have played the odd round on a Saturday but the courses are hammered and the last round took well over 5 hours!

All handicaps welcome (I play off 24 apparently!)

I have only played communal courses, is anybody a member anywhere and are there any merits in joining a club over here?

My OH is a golf addict as well!! We are SOR but he travels all over to play. He has played quite a few courses (all public) and he reckons that there is no point joinging a club when there are so many decent non member ones to play.


We are both from Leeds so he will be chuffed that you will be able to understand his accent

Is he available during the week? It would be good if we can get a 4 ball together from this forum, I can play just about any day with a couple of days notice. Yr right about the accent, everybody thinks I'm Scottish!

My OH is desperate for a game of golf, we've been over here since November, he's bought a new set of clubs and not got round to using them yet. We are based in Secret Harbour (overlooking a golf course!) and he's working nights currently so would be available to play late morning/early afternoon if given some notice.
We're originally from up North in the UK - Warrington, although lived in Shrewsbury for 5 years prior to coming over here.

I will keep an eye on this thread as i love golf, play off 6 at the moment and because my clubs will be in the shipping from March time i will not get much golf in scotland until i land in perth in june.

Well my oh has joined Port Kennedy Golf Club now and has had his handicap of 18 confirmed (not sure that's the correct way of wording it!), has put his name down and played in a few competitions but is still keen to meet fellow Pom golfers so if anyone fancies a round let me know. Unfortunately due to work commitments he can only really make the weekends.
