  3. Hi Guys, I am new to the forum & have been living in Mandurah for around 2 1/2 years now. We absolutely love it here & are about to lodge our PR. Once we have this we will be looking to build. I actually work for Ventura homes so naturally we feel building new was the way to go. Has anyone had this process of build new or buy established? Want to gain more information on buying land, building restrictions & site costs? The experiences we have had so far nobody ever explains this in enough detail & if anything we would feel more confused. Friends of ours actually brought some land to build & didnt know their exact site costs which ended up being far more then they had budgeted & now they cannot sell the block or afford the home design they want. Since arriving in WA I have built around 200 homes as a supervisor & recently got into the Design Consultancy side, I am more then happy to help anyone struggling to decide which way to go. I can give you advice on sites works costings, design options to maximize the block of land as well as time frames & any hidden factors no other consultants will explain in enough detail. Thanks, have a great day https://www.facebook.com/John-Barnes-New-Home-Design-Consultant-572218846279101/

  5. Hi all I'm currently living in Melbourne but have recently been offered a very attractive job in Perth, but have a few queries which I would really like some answers to, to help me decide whether to move (again) and if so, help negotiate a decent package: 1) How much more expensive is Perth to Melbourne. My basic internet enquiries suggest around 10% - does this sound right? 2) What is the job/housing market like in Perth. With the apparent end of the mining boom, are Perth properties a good investment and are jobs still in high demand or in decline? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Paul
  6. Hi there Can anyone help? We are after furnished accommodation. House/Flat/Duplex even static caravan! We are in between house moves and require a furnished place between Friday 25th October and Saturday 13th December. Can supply references and bond. Ideally we would like something within a 12 km radius of Karrinyup/Carine area as we have to continue to get the children to school. If you can help please let me know. Also it would be great if there was a garage. Any ideas? Sally

  9. Hi, We're planning to move to Perth sometime next year but would like to buy a house/property in Perth now if we can. We've heard that using the services of a buyers agent might be helpful, would any of you have used one or can recommend one? Thanks.
  10. So I think we'll stay in Perth. But we kept a house in the UK that we'd now like to sell. It's being rented out at the moment and that tenancy will finish in June. Has anyone sold a house in the UK whilst they're abroad? Any tips/things to watch for? A quick sale is important, so I was thinking about auctioning it - any thoughts/experiences?
  11. Hi guys I am an ex pom, moved over in April 2011 with my young family, i am now working as a real estate agent in the southern suburbs of perth, although we cover the whole of Western Australia, if you are looking for an agent who knows what its like to worry about schools and traffic and "good/bad" areas, then im your girl. I will more than happily listen to all of your rental/purchase needs and find the property thats perfect for you and your family, this is no cost, purely being offered as i completely understand the importance and worry of finding the place that fits all of your requirements. Please feel free to PM me and let me take the stress away. Kind Regards Hannah
