Jennie
Hi I have come to visit a friend for 3 months, but love Perth and would like to stay. I am not qualified on the skilled workers list so was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best way to obtain a visa to stay and work? portlaunay
Welcome to PP, I don't think it will be good news for you I'm afraid. It depends on a whole raft of different issues - your age, family situation and how much money you have. I'm no visa expert and if I were you I'd be doing just that, going to an expert, a registered migration agent who'll be able to provide some objective advice. FOL
Get an assessment from an agent. Even if it costs ya 200 bucks or so. You don't have to use their services to follow up on the assessment if you don't want to. Options I know you have are: get married to an aussie, have a lot od money to invest, work for an international company that also has a business down under (not sure about this one), have first degree family in Oz. i wouldn't advise to go with the wrong visa and then stay or hopping on a fully packed boat from Asia.
