I'm moving to Perth!!! and need some advice on accommodation

Hello everyone,

My name is Clare, I am 25 and recently accepted a job to start in Armadale-Kelmscott memorial hospital in the A&E department.

I am moving at the beginning of August and have started to look at places to live. Ideally I want to be in the city centre but I've seen that this may be a bit of a commute and may not be easy with public transport. I'm not sure whether the region around the hospital would be a very nice place to live.

I was hoping someone could give me some advice regarding where might be the best places to start looking and whether public transport is actually a viable option???

Hi, I work at AKMH in community MH - so welcome to the family lol. I live in Leeming and it takes me about 25 mins to get to work, it's against the flow of traffic into the city so a nice commute. It would take you ages to get to the hospital on Public transport and the Armadale line doesn't have one of the best reps. I know that from Leeming it would take about 1.5 hours to get to work on public transport - although this would be more direct if you're getting the train from Perth. There are parts of Armadale that are very nice, surrounding suburbs of Kelmscott, Byford, Mount Nasura, the new suburb of Harrisdale falls under the city of Armadale and has lots of new developments. I worked in ED as one of the PLN's - it's a busy dept in Armadale.
