Moving from Wagga Wagga to Perth

Hi All, wanted to ask if any of you can give advice on suburbs in Perth as we are moving from Wagga (NSW) to Perth at the end of this year and want to know where to look for rentals/good safe places to live and where to avoid. We came out to OZ in 2005 and are now citizens. We have a 4 year old Son who will be needing full time school by the time we move. Basically need to be near the airport as Hubby is a Pilot. Looking to meet fellow Poms/friendly faces ETC. Thanks heaps, Ellie

Hey there , will he be based North of the river then ? Ellenbrook and the swan valley have some stunning area's worth looking at .. let us know how you get on with it all :)


Not sure if you meant RAAF Pilot or Airport ?
My oh worked at the Domestic Airport for a few years untill recently it was a 50 min drive from us in Baldivis SOR , if that helps of peak traffic wise :)

We live in Leeming - 25 mins to the airport (and Jandakot airport just around the corner).

Hi, yes he will be working from the civilian airport (Domestic side). Just had a look at google earth, seems like Redcliffe, Ascot, Kewdale are very close. Are they nice suburbs ? Would ideally like to be able for Hubby to either bike it to work, walk or get public transport as we only have the 1 car that i will need to have at home to ferry kids around ETC. Yes I will let you now how we get on :-)))
